OnMay 26, 2024, Lufthansa 839 with89 passengers and 4 crew, was enroute at FL370 when the crew decided to divertto Hanover reporting smoke in the cockpit. The aircraft landed safely onHanover's runway 09R about 20 minutes later.

The airport reported the 89 passengers and 4 crewleft the aircraft normally, there were no injuries. There had been no fire onboard. It is unclear and under investigation why smoke surfaced in the cockpit.

2. rejected takeoff due to birdstrike

OnMay 26, 2024, Air New Zealand654was accelerating for takeoff from Queenstown's runway 23 whenthe crew rejected takeoff at about 80 knots over ground due to a bird strike.The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.

About an hour the aircraft taxied out again fordeparture but during taxi needed to return to the apron again due to anunrelated technical problem. The flight was subsequently cancelled.

The airline reported the crew rejected takeoffdue to a potential bird strike. After an inspection by maintenance the aircraftwas released for flight again but needed to return to the gate due to anunrelated warning light.

On May 26, 2024, BA CityFlyer 8474 departed Malaga's runway 13, climbed to FL360 and landed on London CityAirport's runway 27 completing a seemingly uneventful flight.

During pre-flight preparations for the nextsector BA CityFlyer 8455 to Amsterdam it was discovered however, thatthe left hand engine had ingested a bird. Passengers, who had already boardedthe aircraft, disembarked again, and the flight was cancelled.

A passenger booked onto BA CityFlyer 455reported that the captain announced during pre-flight preparations it wasdiscovered that the #1 engine had ingested a bird presumably during theprevious flight. The passengers disembarked again, and the flight was cancelled.

4.overran runway on landing

On May 26, 2024, Super Air 2180 with172 people on board, landed on Weda's runway 27 but overran the end of therunway by about 30 meters (100 feet）and came to a stop with all gears on soft ground.The passengers disembarked via mobile stairs, the aircraft received minor ifany damage.

The aircraft had overflown runway 09 in a lowapproach before.

The airport reported the aircraft landed onrunway 27 in rainy conditions but overran the end of the runway and becamestuck in the dirt with all gear.
