A few moments ago we made our brand new PMDG DC-6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator live for purchase.

This release represents the start of what we think is going to be an entirely new era for PMDG products and our ability to deliver high quality, high detail simulations in the years to come. Many of you have been avid PMDG fliers for nearly 24 years now and I can say with certainty that the new DC-6 is the finest looking, deepest, most feature rich simulation we have ever produced. All of this being possible because of the hard work of the team at Asobo Studios and the market imagination of the Microsoft team.

I want to keep this short, but one point that I do want to make about our new product: This simulation of the DC-6 has been specifically designed to satisfy an entire range of MSFS users from the very new simulator user to the veterans of advanced study simulations. While every function is modeled right down to the circuit breakers, we have put a significant amount of time and development work into providing you with an automated flight engineer to help you as you learn to operate this feature rich simulation.

If you are new to PMDG products (welcome!) and want to keep things simple in the beginning, we strongly encourage you to rely upon your automated flight engineer while you learn the ropes. He will handle all the switches and checklists and system configurations, leaving you to focus on the fun aspects of flying. When you are ready, you can rely upon him less and less as you grow comfortable operating the entire airplane and it's engines on your own. If you are a seasoned simmer with plenty of knowledge on how to operate radial engines, you can dive right into the deep and of the pool and be amazed by just how feature rich this simulation of the DC-6.

No matter where you are in your simming experience, we encourage you to watch the tutorial series of videos that we have released in our official PMDG YouTube channel. As of this moment we have 20 tutorials covering all phases of flight, with more on the way for those who love to learn and see how the airplane is operated.

Microsoft Flight Simulator represents absolutely the most perfect environment for this simulation, and with our simulation of the long-range fuel system on the DC-6, you can operate to all corners of the globe with ease and reliability.
